Lions Eye Bank of the Delaware Valley
Every year in the United States more than 34,000 people have their sight restored through corneal transplantation, and hundreds of thousands of people benefit from medical research and education made possible by donated eye tissue. In our area, Lions Eye Bank of Delaware Valley works 365 days a year to provide local residents with the highest quality and safest corneal tissue available. In fact, since 1957 we have helped coordinate more than 30,000 surgeries. We uphold the highest eye tissue quality standards and work diligently to make the corneal transplant process as easy as possible for all of our recipients.
Montgomery County Association For The Blind
Montgomery County Association for the Blind seeks to provide a variety of comprehensive services intended to help people of all ages strive to learn skills and participate in programs that foster ever increasing independence, enabling those with vision loss to continue to be active and contributing in family and community life.
The Harleysville Lions Club was founded in 1945 and has been an active member of the Harleysville and Lower Salford community ever since. In addition to supporting the goals of Lions International and sight conservation, the Lions of Harleysville make a significant contribution to our local community. Through a series of fundraisers throughout the year we are able to support a number of local, national and international charities. In the process there is a strong bond of friendship established with our fellow Lions.
